NAWBO is pleased to announce a business workshop to be offered on May 13th to assist business owners from small to mid size with various key segments of their business. The workshop will be hosted by a group of experienced, successful business owners with proven track records to facilitate the different topics. Workshops
Procurement – Facilitated by Kalpana Patel, President of Unique Comp Inc., learn and discuss issues on the benefits of MBE and WBE certifications, the special values they hold, what documents are necessary, the government process and how this has aided and been successful for business owners.
Human Resources – Facilitated by Sharon N. Berlin, Lamb & Barnosky, LLP, What steps should every employer take to avoid employment-related lawsuits? What are the required employment policies? Is an employment agreement necessary?
Marketing/Sales – Every business owner needs to know as much as they can about sales and marketing. Is your business properly positioned, are you sending the right value proposition to your target client audience? Do trade shows and networking events matter?
Technology – is your website the key to your success? Which software packages are a must have? How do you obtain free packages? How do you ensure you have data properly protected and do you have a disaster recovery plan?
